Our new podcast You CAN ask that!

To mark World Hearing Voices Day on September 14, Listening to Voices are launching the debut episode of You CAN ask that! – A Listening to Voices podcast.

Hear from Listening to Voices performers Ben, Kelly and Sarah as they explain what hearing voices means for them and the relationship with their voices.

World Hearing Voices Day promotes our right to define our experiences in our own way. It’s a time to expand the narrow stereotypes that still exist about voice-hearing – that it should be a source of shame and secrecy.

What we do

Through performance, training, workshops and resources we:

  • share personal stories to ignite critical conversations in mental health
  • provide unique professional development opportunities
  • contribute the voice of those with lived experience in shaping our future mental health responses
  • address stigma and highlight the many links between trauma, family violence, bullying and mental health
  • create person centred, trauma informed, empathetic mental health workforces
  • inspire critical reflection and hopeful practices, such as the hearing voices approach.
