We are proud to have received accreditation against the standards listed below.
Accreditation is independent recognition that practices meet the requirements of the governing national industry Standards, set by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). Accreditation means a practice is meeting minimum safety and quality standards.
The QIC Health and Community Services Standards (QIC Standards) focus on how well an organisation delivers its services, taking into account management principles and practices, legal requirements, efforts to strengthen relationships with other organisations, and positive outcomes achieved.
The Human Services Standards represent a single set of service quality standards for organisations delivering services to clients, summarised as:
Empowerment: People’s rights are promoted and upheld.
Access and Engagement: People’s right to access transparent, equitable and integrated services is promoted and upheld.
Wellbeing: People’s right to wellbeing and safety is promoted and upheld.
Participation: People’s right to choice, decision making and to actively participate as a valued member of their chosen community is promoted and upheld.
The National Standards for Mental Health Services (NSMHS) Standards focus on mental health service delivery, policy direction compliance, communication and consent, and monitoring and governance procedures.
The NSMHS encompass key guiding principles consistent with national policy and requirements for the delivery of mental health services in Australia, including:
Promotion of optimum quality of life for people with mental disorders and/or mental health problems
A strong values base, related to human rights, dignity and empowerment
Community participation in mental health service development, and
A better national mental health system that emphasises comprehensive, coordinated and individualised care.
There are a number of requirements providers must meet to become registered and maintain registration with the NDIS Commission.
The NDIS Practice Standards specify the quality standards to be met by registered NDIS providers to provide supports and services to NDIS participants.
Together with the NDIS Code of Conduct, the NDIS Practice Standards build NDIS participants’ awareness of what quality service provision they should expect from registered NDIS providers.
The Rainbow Tick Standards have been specifically designed to suit health and community organisations that are committed to safe, inclusive practice and service delivery for LGBTIQA+ people.
