Each school term we run a mix of programs to support parents and carers with practical tools, stronger connections and confidence at home.
Parenting Programs
We offer free group based parent education programs, information sessions and one on one parenting support for parents and carers of children aged 0–18 years. Programs are evidence‑based and flexible, so they can be tailored to your family’s needs.
Other programs we offer include
- Mother Goose
- Tuning in to Kids
- Tuning in to Teens
- Triple P (Positive Parenting Service)
- Dads Tuning into Kids
- Stepping Stones (based on Triple P’s positive parenting strategies)
- Positive Parenting Telephone Service – Helps families experiencing difficulties in parenting. It’s tailored to individual needs and each person can guide their own progress.
We can also offer other short workshops and seminars.
Access
This is a free service available to anyone living in the Ovens and Murray region who cares for children aged from 0 to 18 years.
Individual parenting support
As well as group programs, Gateway Health provides individual parenting support throughout the year. This includes the Positive Parenting Telephone Service, face-to-face parenting sessions and Parent Troubleshooting appointments. These one-on-one options connect you with a trained Parent Educator for tailored, practical support focused on your family’s needs.
