The focus of the Targeted Early Intervention (TEI) NSW program is to provide targeted, early support to children and their families to enable them to thrive.
Transport for families to attend groups and access services is available. The family worker attends home visits and supports families with advocacy during contact with other service providers.
To qualify for support with TEI NSW, families must reside in NSW and have at least one child in the family under the age of 9 years of age, including expectant mothers.
The TEI program aims to:
- Enable families to access support early in the lives of their children and young people to enable families to thrive;
- Address potential risk factors that may lead to child abuse, neglect, and family violence; and,
- Enable Aboriginal children, young people, families, and communities have access to timely, effective, accessible, and culturally safe support.
Eligibility
Families with a child 9 years or younger including pregnant women.
Albury local government area.
Referral: Self or professional.
Access
This is a free program for families with at least one child aged 9 years or younger.
The service operates from Gateway Health in Wodonga and we provide outreach support for families living in Albury.
