Trent Dean
Chief Executive Officer
Trent Dean brings a wealth of health care delivery expertise and a passion for driving positive change. Throughout his career, including roles at the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Mater Health Services, Trent has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a deep commitment to improving community health care outcomes. He has a broad background in health and ageing, community services, public housing, child safety, corporate governance, risk management, quality improvement, and assurance in both the not-for-profit and commercial sectors. As CEO of Mercy Connect, he has successfully steered the organisation toward achieving its mission of delivering high-quality care and support to individuals in need. His strategic vision and innovative approach have been instrumental in enhancing service delivery and fostering a person-centred culture. Having moved down from Brisbane (QLD) in 2019 with Michelle (wife) and two children (Madison and Chase), Trent is now a resident of Albury and has actively engaged in the broader health care community, and served on various advisory boards, contributing his insights and expertise to advance local health care initiatives. He holds a Master of Health Services Management, Bachelor of Law (Honours), Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Certificate in Commerce, Graduate Certificate in Management, Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing (Child and Adolescent Health), and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Trent is currently completing a Doctor of Public Health at La Trobe University.

Executive Director, People and Innovation
Tracy has previous experience working in both Marketing and Human Resources at local organisations, including Albury Wodonga Health and Mars Petcare. Tracy thrives on building strategy and organisational direction and has the ability to translate, engage and empower teams to adopt and implement the vision. She has a passion for community engagement and its opportunity to deliver for all, irrespective of culture, geographic or socio-economic challenges.

Victoria Mugwagwa
Chief Financial Officer
Vicky joined Gateway Health in September 2021 and is currently our Chief Financial Officer effective 1 July, 2024. She is a CPA and CIMA certified accountant with a demonstrated history of working in the telecommunications and not-for-profit sectors. Vicky enjoys working at Gateway Health because she is passionate about promoting health, wellbeing and health equity.

Simon Donohoe
Executive Director, Integrated Care
Simon joined Gateway Health in 2022 as the Executive Director, Integrated Care to help maximise the impact of Gateway Health’s service delivery across the region. Simon holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing and a Master of Business Administration. He has worked across a broad range of roles including those as a clinician, management roles in large commercial businesses, and as an executive member in Health Care. A values-driven professional, Simon has a passion not only for delivering great outcomes across the community as a whole, but also for implementing processes to ensure each person who accesses a service has the best possible experience.

Jacki Eckert
Executive Director, Population Health, Planning & Performance
Jacki is a highly experienced health executive and brings significant expertise in leadership, strategic planning and organisational performance management systems. Jacki has a track record in leading successful teams and driving quality improvement. Jacki is passionate about the need for accessible primary healthcare, early intervention services and population health approaches to address the social and environmental determinants of health, reduce inequity and improve health and wellbeing outcomes in rural and regional communities. Working in partnership with individuals, communities and organisations, particularly those disproportionately affected by climate change and disaster, to mitigate the mental and physical health impacts, ensure preparedness and trauma-informed recovery is a key area of focus in Jacki’s current role.
