Important: The Men’s Behaviour Change Program is not a crisis service. If you are concerned for your safety or that of someone else, contact the police in your state or territory or call 000 for emergency assistance.
Gateway Health supports men to recognise and change violent, controlling and coercive behaviours so they can build safer relationships.
This 20-week group program supports men to explore accountability, reflect on the impact of their behaviour, and work towards meaningful change for themselves and their families.
This group may suit you if you
- are required by relevant authorities such as police, courts or child protection to comply with protection orders by participating in this service
- are ready to acknowledge the impact of your violent, controlling or coercive behaviour towards your partner, ex-partner, children or other family members
- consent to us contacting family members who have been impacted by your past or current violent behaviour so we can also offer support for their safety
- are willing to regularly attend 20 intensive group-based sessions to address the underlying causes of your violent, controlling or coercive behaviour and what you can do to change it
