The ‘Wangaratta GP After Hours Cooperative’ has been operating as an after-hours service under an agreement with Wangaratta Medical Centre, Phillipson Street Clinic, Beechworth Surgery and Gateway Health for many years.
Due to workforce issues, a collective decision has been made to cease this arrangement from 1 January 2022 as there are insufficient GPs to provide this service on an ongoing basis.
We are committed to supporting our patients and will work with parties to find alternative models to suit patient needs.
If you require after-hours medical advice or treatment, there are some options available:

- Doctor on call – 1800 022 222
- Ambulance Service (for medical emergencies) – 000
- 24-hour emergency services – North East Health, Wangaratta
