Leadership transition, youth voice and site improvements celebrated at headspace Wodonga
Gateway Health will bring partners and community leaders together on Tuesday, 19 May 2026 to recognise an important milestone for headspace Albury Wodonga, with leadership changes, site improvements and service quality initiatives all being celebrated.
headspace Albury Wodonga is operated by Gateway Health and supports young people aged 12 to 25 years across mental health and wellbeing, physical and sexual health, alcohol and other drugs, and work, school and study.
The event will formally farewell outgoing Consortium Chair Stuart Baker and welcome incoming Chair Summer Matthews. It will also acknowledge newly appointed Youth Co-Chair Lyla Waring, the first Youth Co-Chair appointed, strengthening youth voice in local leadership and service planning.
An update will be shared on the refurbishment of the Wodonga site, which is being refreshed to create a more welcoming and youth-friendly environment for young people and families accessing support.
The event will also recognise the efforts of the local team as they work towards the headspace Model Integrity Framework audit and continue strengthening the quality of care provided through the service.
Gateway Health CEO Trent Dean said:
“headspace Albury Wodonga is a vital part of how we support young people’s mental health in this region. Our staff, our Consortium partners and our young leaders have all played a key role in strengthening the service – from refreshing the Wodonga site to working towards the headspace Model Integrity Framework audit. I’m really proud of what has been achieved together and excited about what this next chapter means for local young people.”
Gateway Health is proud to work alongside Consortium partners and the broader community to ensure local young people can access free, early-intervention support close to home.
headspace Albury Wodonga is located at 155 High Street, Wodonga, and support is available face-to-face, online or over the phone.
