Gateway Health is open for business

Metropolitan Melbourne remains in an extended lockdown due to Covid-19 which commenced on 27 May and is due to end at midnight on Thursday 10 June. Regional Victoria is ‘open for business’, including Gateway Health, but please note that safety precautions continue to apply – including the need to wear a facemask when on our premises.

For Gateway Health GP clients, we will continue to provide service through our GP Clinics. Where possible, appointments will be conducted by telehealth (phone).

If a telehealth appointment is not possible, you can make an appointment for an on-site consultation, subject to the availability of your GP.

Other one-on-one appointments with Gateway Health staff (eg. counsellors and others) will continue, also subject to masks, appropriate ‘social distancing’, and the availability of the staff member.

If you come to us, normal infection control procedures continue to operate on our premises – ie. maintain your distance from others where possible, use hand sanitiser, bring a mask with you and wear your mask inside our building.

Do not attend if you have any cold or flu symptoms or if you have been to a listed exposure site.

You will be contacted if there is a need to change any appointment arrangements.

Activities in groups are suspended for now. Gateway Health staff will be in contact with you to give further information if you participate in any of our group activities.

Information on how and where to get Covid vaccinations is available from the Commonwealth Government here:

It has been announced that the Pfizer vaccine is to be made available to people aged 40-49 at major vaccination centres (not GP clinics). Further details on this development and other information about eligibility and locations of the vaccination centres can be found at the website above.

Clients can travel across the NSW/Victorian border to access health services.
